Fun and Fabulous Fourth

The 4th of July is always my favorite holiday.
This year, it was extra special because I got to celebrate it in Las Vegas with some of my very best friends.
Michael was still on Wilderness Trek, and I was pretty sad and lonely, so it was perfect timing.
We left super early Thursday morning...like, while it was still dark.
After parking at "I Isaac" and sharing a shuttle with some One Direction fans, we made it to the airport - giggling all the way.
We made it to the terminal just in time to walk on to the plane.
After putting on my wristbands and taking some Benadryll it was a pretty easy flight.
Before we knew it, we were in Vegas!
Unfortunately, Sarah's bag didn't make it on our plane.
*Side Note: why do airlines do that?
How hard is it to put the bag on the airplane?
Inconsiderate.
Luckily, we only had to wait an extra 45 minutes for the suitcase to get there.
It might have been missing a wheel.
We won't talk about that though.
By 10am, we were on the Vegas Strip!
Our first stop was the Cosmopolitan for some Secret Pizza.
We were starving, because to our stomachs it was after noon, but Secret Pizza still had 10 minutes until it was open.
We sat in the lobby for awhile and it was so fun to watch people come upstairs and try to find the restaurant.
I felt very in the know.
And the pizza was absolutely delicious!
After lunch we still had several hours to kill before we could check into our hotel,
so we spent some time walking around the Cosmopolitan.
It really is a beautiful hotel.
Extremely girly and glam.
I love it.
Isn't she cute?
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the Paris Hotel.
Somehow Michael and I missed this one on our trip to Vegas.
I'm not sure what we were thinking because this hotel was incredible!
No matter what time you walk through the casino, it feels like twilight in a park in France.
Yes, those clouds are the ceiling.
Amazing.
And then there is this ceiling.
Even more amazing.
Have I mentioned how much I love Vegas?
The rest of the day was spent eating delicious ice cream,
sitting in the lobby of our hotel waiting to check in,
walking around the mall attached to our hotel,
and then enjoying the Caesar's Palace fireworks show - from our hotel room!
We really liked this wall
View from our hotel. No joke.
Fireworks. Fountains. Favorites!
I can't even describe how incredible the view was from our room.
We had floor to ceiling windows (more on that later) that looked out over the strip.
Since we were on the 55th floor, it felt like we could see all of Vegas.
We sat there waiting on the CP fireworks and were able to watch all the people of Vegas setting off their own fireworks.
It was so neat to see them pop up all over the place.
And then we got to watch the Vegas fireworks show from the comfort of our room, while we were in our pajamas.
It was just perfect!

Of course I can't forget the reason we all came to Veags:
This girl is turning 21!!
I can't believe she is all grown up and almost legal.
I just love her so much, and feel so honored that she wanted to share this trip with me.
It was the most fun, relaxing, and wonderful trip!
I can't wait to share the rest of it with you!
